Asheville, NC - My crew and I are safe! Asheville Asheville, NC - My crew and I are safe! Asheville got hit by the brunt of the Hurricane Helene and experienced massive floods. Currently, there is no power, water, cell service or internet in most of the city. (I’m writing this from a 2hrs drive away in Murphy, NC - the first town where we could find a connection.) Lots of down trees and destroyed homes. Most of these pictures are of the flooded River Arts District along the French Broad River, after the rain stopped last night.
